Why we love Apartment Via Montoro

A delightful spacious and bright apartment, refurbished with taste and style, right in the best address Rome can offer you;Campo dei Fiori,in an area which combines the historic, elegant parts of Rome and the neighborly characteristic side also.

This is a typical Roman home, with exposed beams, wooden floors and the true character you should expect from a Rome apartment.

The property is located in a grand ancient Palazzo, composed of a spacious living and dining area with a dining table.

There are two bedrooms, a large bedroom with a double bed and a two single beds, that can also become a double bed on request.

The delightful kitchen is fully equipped and has everything you need to cook meals and snacks;fresh produce and a wonderful selection of Italian specialities is available at the famous open market in Campo dei Fiori.

A charming small furnished terrace can be accessed from the kitchen and there is a second communal terrace on the top floor, rarely used by other tenants, offers you a wonderful view of the Roman rooftops, especially at night.

The bathroom is fully tiled and has a shower; there’s also a second private WC.

You’ll be short walking distance to every famous landmark, that will leave lasting memories of the eternal city.

  • Noise in Rome, this useful note is from the owner in response to one guest mentioning the noise from one of the artisans workshops nearby apartment Montoro, this is very useful information in understanding the typical noise in Rome.

Campo de’ Fiori is one of the oldest parts of the city where there are many artisans workshops in the area. The very old artisans workshop our guest refers to is just in front of the building. Most of the time they work without any noise, however sometimes they use tools which can make noise. As most tourists are generally not at home 12 hours per day, I think the noise they can hear, sometimes, can be considered the usual city noise for Rome. It depends on one’s sensibility. Most people visiting Rome do not complain as they are aware that it is a characteristic of ancient Rome and considering that this is a no traffic zone for vehicles, is also absolutely peaceful on Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, after 6 pm and during the nights this more than makes up occasional noises during the day. No noise at all though very close to Campo dei Fiori.

If people want to stay in the very heart of the city they can’t expect not to hear any noise and most importantly when they rest in the evening and during the night, in via Montoro there is only silence.

Apartments in Piazza Navona and Campo dei Fiori are under constant noise (people talking, drinking, children playing, markets) all day long….via Montoro, in comparison, is a haven as there are neither bars nor restaurants in this street.

Wonderful host and truly special apartment! We had a fantastic stay! Maria was so friendly and welcoming when we arrived, very helpful with maps and recommendations, and responded quickly when we emailed questions we had during our stay. The location is perfect for exploring the entire city of Rome. The apartment is simply stunning - lovingly renovated with attention to historical detail and modern convenience. It was the perfect size for our family of four - and the extra bathroom was such a luxury. The furniture was comfortable as well as lovely. We enjoyed many meals on the terrace, and the kitchen was surprisingly well-stocked. We hope to stay here again in the future - a great value and wonderful experience!

We had a fantasic stay at Maria's apartment. The apartment was gorgeous and comfortable with a great central location we never had to get a bus, metro or taxi anywhere! Well apart from and to the airport but that was also effortless. The apartment is very spacious and around the corner from Campo Di Fiori which has lovely restuarants and even a lively bar. During the day there is also a market selling local produce that gave the area real buzz. As a host Maria was exceptunal and nothing during our stay was a problem. I will definatley stay there again if I am luck enough to visit Rome again.Highly recommended 5*Maria went above and beyond to accomate all our requests.

A lovely, spacious apartment in a beautiful area of Rome. As I have a fondness for antiques, it felt like home to me. We enjoyed the terrace in the evenings after lovely dinners in Piazza Navona. Ms. Maria was a very gracious host, and after having become acquainted, I look forward to meeting her the next time we are in Rome.

A wonderful apartment in a great location situated to all of Rome's attractions. The owner met us and was extremely lovely and helpful. We shall certainly be returning one day.

Geat location - we walked everywhere. Lovely terrace that ws great to retreat to for meals. Our only regret was no air conditioning or fans which made the very hot evenings a challenge to sleep.

Great Location, Charm!!1 The apartment is "old world", clean and well appointed. The bathrooms are very nice - seem newly done, very clean - but that "old world" look is maintained. The kitchen had all one needs. We had breakfast and sometimes dinner on the balcony every day. There was an outdoor concert during our stay in one of the small nearby piazzas, and Campo di Fiore very close. We did get the WI FI. It was on and off a bit - not sure why...

The apartment was absolutely fantastic. A colleague and I stayed for a week in May and loved it. The terrace was absolutely perfect, nice and quiet, and a great way to unwind after long days. In hot weather, the apartment is refreshingly cool and the owner, Maria, was the perfect host and was on hand, via email, to answer any queries we had during our stay. The location could not be better, so close to Campo de Fiori but a couple of streets away so quiet at night. There are lots of good restaurants nearby too. There's no question we would stay again. Thank you Maria!

We had a wonderful time in this apartment. A beautiful spacious apartment, even if the second bedroom is rather small. The location is perfect and we would return.

The apartment is very spacious, comfortable and homely. It is also in a fantastic location, just around the corner from Campo de' Fiori and within easy walking distance of all the sights and attractions of Rome. Our only criticism is that the apartment is located directly opposite a wood merchant's shop and was very noisy with the sounds of saws and machinery from 8:30am 12:30 until 3pm-6pm, Monday to Friday.*** See note on apartment page ***
