Why we love Apartment Goethe - Palazzo Fortuny

As in Rome there is, apart from the Romans, a population of statues, so apart from this real world there is a world of illusion, almost more potent,in which most men live."

A wonderful apartment-one of seven meticulous apartments located in one building. A rare and unique find, centrally located, yet private and safely tucked away behind secure gates,in a setting of lush greenery.

Conveniently bordering Villa Borghese, surrounded by trees offering a tranquil environment.

A huge terrace is accessible from every door on the ground floor.

The bright living room overlooks the terrace;relaxing open living with a dining area for six people.

The fully equipped kitchen has every amenity you need for preparing meals.

There are three private bedrooms which all have en-suite bathrooms.

Two of the bedrooms have queen beds and en-suites with showers; there is a third bedroom that has two twin beds and an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub and hand shower.

There are ceiling fans in the bedroom and air conditioning in the living area, also cooling the kitchen.

You are within walking distance to the Spanish Steps. Some of the best shopping and restaurants in town.

Six more apartments in the same buiding make this an excellent choice for groups traveling together sleeping up to 38 people in the same building.

  • It must be noted that the street in which this building is located is approximately 100 metres from the main street of via Flaminia and the building is at the end of this street which has an incline, if you have any mobility issues this should be taken into consideration.

The two apartments we rented for our week in Rome were wonderful! We had a total of 13 people and the apartments were perfect with plenty of space, a great patio area in one apartment where we all could eat together and the location was both beautiful and close to great transportation (Metro station a short walk away). I would highly recommend this location for anyone who wants a quiet but very central location from which to explore Rome.

The apartment is in a excellent position within walking distance of all the sites. It is quiet, comfortable spacious and was fitted out with all the amenities needed for our stay.

We loved the apartment in every way! It was great to have three bathrooms, the kitchen was totally functional, the bedrooms were comfortable and the terrace was great - even though it was the middle of the winter. All in all, a great space for us and a great location to tour the city!

Very profession and most helpful, especially with the information regarding transportation to and from the airport and seaport.

We enjoyed this apartment very much. It has a great terrace, and was very comfortable for two families traveling together. The location is excellent. It is very quiet and secure and yet only a short walk to the metro and the Piazza del Popolo. The #19 tram on Flaminia goes in one direction to the Vatican, and in the other direction to the Borghese Gardens/zoo, which was very convenient. The wi-fi in the apartment was finicky, but we received prompt service to establish connection with our laptop, which was very helpful. Also, we brought a week's worth of kitchen items-- dishwasher tablets, laundry soap, kitchen wipes, salt-and-pepper, napkins ... so we did not have to stock up much on supplies.

We would like to say that first of all we are very grateful to the Italy-Accom team for their help and support in helping us book our holidays, which was extremely efficient and attentive and especially appreciated in the very busy time (Xmas and new Year) that we booked. Also we would say that the apartment was fantastically located, very spacious, well serviced and comfortable, with a definite touch of glamour to it, due to the impressive building and entrance. However, the apartment we booked could do with a few details that were missing (there were no wine glasses, bottle opener, cheese grater, etc, nor extra pillows, etc...) and lacked some basic consumables on arrival that we have always found in previous rentals in other locations (there were no basic things like dishwasher tablets, rubbish bags, salt, sugar, etc.. so we had to buy big packs of everything). I would however like to stress once more the kind and helpful work of Italy-Accom's director and staff, in helping us book our very enjoyable holiday in this amazing city - we are very grateful to them.
