Why we love Apartment Conti

Cobblestones and green vines
Winding side streets, cobblestones and green vines in one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Rome, with history at your doorstep. Pleasing and comfortable interiors. Ingrid & Jason from the United states, express this in their review," The location of the Conti apartment in Rome was ideal for getting everywhere we needed to go. We were able to walk to the train stations, the Vatican, the Roman Forum, etc. There were neighbourhood restaurants by the apartment that were great and many cafe’s and small grocery stores nearby. The owners were great, very attentive and made themselves available if we needed anything. I would highly recommend this apartment to any couple looking for a place to stay in Rome"!

Creative impressions
Great taste and creative impressions await you. Warm and well chosen shades. The living space is in harmony with the modern equipped kitchen. Split level open living. A romantic private master bedroom, is off the hallway and a mediterranean blue tiled bathroom, adds the perfect touch of Italy. This is your second home for now. (Please kindly note that the bed is a queen size but it can also be made up as two twin beds upon guest request)

A rustic wonderland
One of the most ancient Roman neighbourhoods, a rustic wonderland, lined with bustling street cafes and restaurants. Friendly locals set the mood. From here you will have the pleasure of strolling to all the renowned landmarks.

Carla is a gracious and conscientious host who is motivated to provide a positive experience for her guests. She has decorated the apartment beautifully and supplied it well. The solidly-built windows keep out much of the street noise. The location is excellent and the neighbourhood is very interesting.

Carla Conti was an excellent host - very friendly and helpful. The fresh fruit and Italian cake were much appreciated. The apartment was in a great location close to the river and Ancient Centre of Rome. The decor was lovely and facilities clean and modern.

The attractively decorated apartment was small but it had everything we needed: a double bed, a well equipped kitchen, plenty of hot water in the bathroom, free wifi and a washingmachine. Carla Conti, the owner, could not have been kinder, welcoming us with a plate of fresh fruit and a homemade cake. We did not need her help during the two-week stay, but we knew she was available and she arranged housekeeping and made sure we were informed about that. Most of all the location is perfect. It is on the quiet side of V. di Trastevere, away from the tourist hustle and bustle of the Lungaretta to the north. Street noise, especially from school kids, was noticeable but not a problem. Local shops had nearly everything we needed and I LOVED going to the dailymarket in Piazza San Cosimato. We felt so at home--and now I miss my home in Trastevere.

Lovely, well equiped apartment in a great location. Carla was a friendly and helpful host.

This was an awesome apartment, and Carla could not have been more welcoming or more gracious! She answered all of our many questions and arranged for a very comfortable ride to the airport. It was a nice touch for her to provide a cell phone we could use to contact her. She also sent her husband over and then contacted the internet company because the web pocket would only work if we stood outside; they were not able to resolve the problem, but it was only a minor inconveniece. The apartment is modern and well furnished, with very comfortable beds, and everything you could need. It is on the ground floor which is wonderful for carrying in luggage but there is a lot of noise from the street. But really, where in Rome is it quiet at all? Shutting the windows helped. If you like to walk, it is within walking distance of all major sites; we walked everywhere, even to the Vatican and up to Borghese. A taxi stand is conveniently located right around the corner at reasonable rates. We highly recommend this apartment and would stay here again. Carla rocks!

This is a splendid little apartment in a great position for sightseeing. It covers all the necessities for travellers and is extremely well designed and fitted out with some extra touches which add to its charm. The landlady was really helpful and gave some excellent advice and assistance when needed.

My sister and I were delighted with our Apartment Conti in Rome. It was safe, central and clean and Carla, the owner, was helpful and kind. We thoroughly enjoyed the local community and we were a step away from the Tiber and the Ghetto with its Roman ruins and excellent little restaurants.

Grazie Carla di tutto...un soggiorno a Roma veramente tranquillo e stupendo! Spero di ritornarci presto. Great host and great apartment. Trastevere is beautiful and close to centre of Roma. Apartment is prefect....clean, comfortable and homely. Highly recommended.Seamless and easy to use service

Carla could not have been more helpful. She was there to meet us, introduced us to the charming host of the little trattoria, Antica, just around the corner which we could not better at its level. The apartment was tastefully decorated and excellent value. It was 5 minutes from the tram which took us to the Piazza Venezia, the bus hub for most of Rome and close to the Forum. It was also an easy 20 minute walk across the Tiber to Piazza Navona with its shopping and markets. We recommend Carla and her apartment.

Can highly recommend this delightful, compact ground floor apartment set in the cobbled streets of old Rome. Ladylady Carla responded immediately to a water leakage and was informative and helpful with directions and suggestions. 20m to a great trattoria and small bar. Close to trams and buses and walking distance to many of the sights.

Location. location, location... Beautiful, spotless, comfortable and safe apartment in the middle of Trastevere. Carla was a delightful and a very helpful hostess, who on arrival greeted us with her legendary cake. Great kitchen, but with all the restaurants on our doorstep we only used the kettle! Perfect accommodation for independent travellers, who want to explore Rome at their own pace.

Apartment Conti in bustling Trastevere was perfecto. Carla, the owner was delightful and a joy to do business with. She greeted us with a cake and cupboards stocked with Italian coffee and two Italian percolators. The apartment was tasteful and charming. We were two single females and found it comfortable .The spilt levels , while adding charm, also make it big enough for two people. The area was well serviced with restaurants, cafes and bakeries . It was a lovely apartment for our Roman Holiday. Thank you Carla and we plan to return.

We run a small business and choose to try an apartment this time for our business trip instead of paying the high price for hotels. The apartment was very conveniently located, very comfortable with all the necessary amenities including internet access. Carla - the owner is very friendly and helpful, welcoming you to Rome, providing a contact in case of issues and popping by to say good-bye at the end of your trip. The apartment is close to plenty of lovely restaurants and shops.

We stayed in "our" apartment as we have visited via dei Salumi before. As usual, a very hearty welcome and the tasty cake. Signora Carla Conti is the most considerate and superb hostess. We spent wonderful days in Rome and the charming environments of Trastevere. We visited a couple of the recommended restaurants and enjoyed delicious roman meals. We have to be back again !

Party type: Older Couple     Visiting from: Australia    Review date: November 2012

We found the apartment to be quiet, (yes, a few very minor street noises that only added to the charm of the place). I, a usually light sleeper, managed to sleep like a rock All furnishings in the apartment were very comfortable and not just there for the looks. I particularly liked the well equipped little eat-in kitchen in which we prepared or assembled most of our meals -using either fresh produce, or take away side dishes bought locally. The area has two bakeries - one of which serves excellent, freshly made pizza by the slice (however, you've got to be quick - the aroma draws people in a flash!) There are also several near-by piazzas lined with great restaurants for relaxed evening meals, as well. A Rome apartment highly recommended for both its excellent value and the help given us by the very friendly host,Carla. Nothing was too much for her.

Party type: Family Group     Visiting from: Australia    Review date: October 2012

We loved staying in Carla's pretty apartment. She was there to warmly greet us and we also enjoyed the fresh cake and fruit she provided. Trastevere is a great area to stay in to explore Rome, an easy walk across the Tiber to the Forum, Collosseum and the Palatine Hill and an easy walk to the Trevi Fountain and other sights. Carla has a very helpful list of information on transport, sights etc and restaurants nearby and lots of guide books are on the shelf. We tried three of the restaurants she recommended and they were excellent only wish we could have stayed longer!. Trastevere has a village feel with narrow cobblestone streets lovely old buildings, churches and piazzas. It has a very authentic and lively atmosphere. We booked this apartment after reading the reviews and totally agree with all the comments. We would highly recommend this place for a couple or for three, we had our 15 yo daughter with us who thoroughly enjoyed her stay here. Carla does not live onsite but is nearby and as we were having problems with our phone she left us with one if we needed to contact her. Carla is a delightful person and was especially charming to our daughter. She also organised our transport to the airport which was excellent, punctual, quality vehicle and driver, similar cost as the express train for 3. We found the booking process and deposit payment to be very simple we will recommend your booking service. Many Thanks for everything!

Our Rome stay in the comfortable stylish Apartment Conte with Carla's freshly baked cake, fruit platter and good coffee on arrival was tops. The apartment is located very centrally , plenty of good restaurants close( consult Carla's list) and in a very ancient part of Rome. In the early evening there are church bells, singing, the clattering and chattering outside as people walk by on the cobbles.which only adds to the whole experience. We'll certainly return.

We loved our stay in Rome. The location was brilliant. To be able to walk a few steps to good, cheap local restaurants was outstanding and the nearby taverna with free wi-fi and lovely coffee and pastries at bargain prices was a highlight. Just terrific. Will recommend to everyone wanting a Rome experience. Oh, and the colleseum and forum are a comfortable walk and other attractions easy to get to.

The owner of the apartment, Carla, is an absolute angel. Not only did she have a plate of fresh fruit and homemade cake for me when I arrived, but she even contact the airline about my lost luggage and arranged for it to be delivered while I was out sightseeing. She also gave me a map of the city and directions to several places I wanted to visit. The apartment is in a charming, historic and quiet part of Rome, which provided a different perspective of the city. It was a nice change to walk around the picturesque neighborhood away from the crowds of tourists or take a stroll along the river on the tree-lined street. There are great restaurants in the neighborhood that have fantastic food and friendly service. There is also a fantastic bakery, fruit and vegetable vendor and market nearby. Although it is tucked away in a quiet part of town, it is easily accessible and within walking distance to most sites around the city. The apartment is fully stocked with everything you need. There are even umbrellas for the unsuspecting day when it rained. Staying at this apartment in Trastevere really made my trip to Rome special. I will certainly go back again soon.

Loved the apartment; loved the area - beautiful medieval streets; tiny piazzas; beautiful Tiber a short walk away. Transport was easy, but walking the best way to take it all in. A night walk around the area was magic - buzzing with small bars, restaurants, and fairy lights. Many thanks to Carla for the homemade cake and strawberries - really was a nice touch. A friendly and helpful host. Can recommend La Villetta, a nearby trattoria - for takeaway pizza (the zucchini flower, cheese and anchovy was interesting) or a great sitdown meal. Avoid the very touristy restaurant, with all the outdoor tables, next door to it - very average food. Our favourite pasticceria was in Via N. Del Grande, where there was also a supermarket, which led into Piazza S.Cosimato and a great fresh fruit, vegies etc. daily market. All in all, we'd return to Carla's apartment and this area in a heartbeat.

What a lovely apartment! It was wonderful to come "home" after a busy day of sightseeing every day during our Roman Holiday. Carla greeted us with a bowl of fruit and a home made sponge cake when we arrived. Trastavere is a wonderful neighborhood and it was very nice to come home to a quiet street at night. Renting an apartment is a great value in Rome.

We really enjoyed our stay and found Carla to be attentive, kind and generous. The apartment is wonderful, clean and spacious, the location is perfect being in the heart of a most interesting area. We stayed in the coldest conditions in Rome for 30 years but the apartment was warm. In truth the bedroom does suffer a little from street noise but we have stayed in Rome many times and it is difficult to avoid, and weighed against the positives there is absolutely no doubt we would stay here again. Pay particular attention to the recommended restaurant list, it really is excellent! Complimenti.

Apartment Conti is comfortable, charmingly decorated and fully equipped with everything one might need. It's location in a quieter part of the vibrant and historic Trastevere district is excellent, with easy access to shops and a number of good restaurants. It is in walking distance to many of the major attractions of Rome and is also conveniently located to public transport. Carla is a charming lady and welcomed us with freshly made cake and fruit. I have no hesitation in recommending this apartment.

This is a great apartment in a fabulous location within walking distance of all the sights in Rome. Trastevere is a wonderfully vibrant district, full of great bars and restaurants, with a local bakery and fruit/vegetable shop close by. The owner, Carla was there to greet us, and had provided a beautiful cake and bowl of fruit to welcome us. Carla also came to say goodbye. Apartment Conti contibuted a great deal in making our stay in Rome very enjoyable. It was very comfortable and well equipped and made an excellent base to return to after a busy day sightseeing. We did most of this on foot, many of the "sights" being easily accessible across one over the many bridges over the Tiber. We loved exploring Trastevere itself and spent each evening there either eating out or cooking at the flat. The owner Carla was charming and very helpful with suggestions about eating, shopping and generally getting around. We would certainly highly recommend the apartment. An excellent apartment in a lovely area of Rome, made our holiday memorable

We found this lovely apartment perfect for our stay in this fabulous city. The location in Trastevere was ideal, the local restaurants, cafes and bakery were all delightful. The streets surrounding the apartment are so charming making the whole experience so authentic. 15min walk(5/6min on bus) over the river and you're in the heart of historical centre. We strongly recommend this apartment to a couple or family with one or two young children. A special thanks to Carla Conti(the owner) who corresponded with me via email on numerous occasions prior to our arrival answering all our questions and very hospitable, she even organised a delicious cake on arrival as it was my wife's birthday. In summary, Apartment Conti was PERFETTO!

We recently returned from our stay in Rome and I wanted to tell you how nice we thought the apartment was. The apartment was very clean and the renovation was very well-done. There was plenty of room for all four of us. The location was great; we would highly recommend Trastevere, and the street itself is quaint and convenient. Rosie welcomed us and explained everything. There was even a freshly baked cake and fresh fruit waiting for us on our arrival! We had one problem (construction on the ground level starting very early one morning) - none of which was the owner's fault - and Carla took care of it immediately by contacting the boss and ensuring work would begin later in the morning. Carla checked in again with us several times to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. The combination of a nicely re-done apartment, great location and conscientious service is hard to beat. Thank you! Rick, USA

Tiny, yet comfortable 1 bedroom apartment centrally located to all the great areas of Rome. Renting this clean and tidy apartment was perfect for a family of 3. The kitchen was well equiped, as we made dinner there most every night. I would definetely stay there again! The apartment was as described on line, and everything went smooth, from the pickup at the airport to the departure pickup at 4:30am!! Thank you for helping me plan a perfect Roman holiday!
