Why we love Apartment Vicolo del Cedro

Apartment Vicolo del Cedro, is located on the ground floor, in the heart of Rome’s Trastevere, best described as a medieval hideaway where you will feel more like a local than a tourist.

Trastevere, is the cultural heart of Rome with history on and around every corner.

A quiet apartment, right near Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere.

This homely apartment is well maintained and features a large living room with one double sofa-bed and one single sofa-bed.

There’s a large dining table and chairs as well as a fully-equipped American kitchen.

There’s a private double bedroom and a bathroom with shower.

A lovely secluded, internal terrace enhances the atmosphere.

The maze of narrow cobblestone streets, untouched for centuries, is lined by restaurants, bars and shops.

During the day open fruit markets fill several of the piazzas, and during the night hand made arts, crafts and jewelry stores pop up on most street corners.

The rest of Rome is easily accessible from Trastevere as public transport will get you into the center of Rome in 5 to 10 minutes.

We loved this apartment and the Trastevere area. Very close to lots of lively restaurants and bars and good transport links but in a quieter side street which was lovely. Very clean, very comfortable, nice lighting and pictures, comfortable bed and seating, reasonably equipped little kitchen area and outside courtyard. Good food market close by and even better one (Testaccio) short bus trip away. Our host Iole was very welcoming and helpful and there was plenty of good info in the apartment. Walking distance from Vatican museums (half hour max on safe pavements beside the Tiber) from Vatican Museum and easy to get to other sights. Lovely little neighbourhood restaurant round the corner (Lucia's) with good food, and good wine very reasonably priced. Will certainly return.

Location, location.location. What a wonderful part of Rome. Narrow, winding, cobbled streets filled with great restaurants and bars. Didn't feel touristy at all.The apartment was lovely with all that we needed, Highly recommended and great value.
