Why we love Burnaby Street 2, SW10

A tasteful and well appointed apartment London apartment, newly refurbished, in a Victorian house with period features, sash windows, wooden floors and the best of taste and quality throughout, creating a warm home, perfect for a London stay, whether for business or pleasure.

The apartment has a private back patio and a lovely south facing garden (with wild strawberries depending on the season) a display of deck chairs, garden tables and chairs to enjoy a meal outside with a glass of wine. It offers the best of London with a zest of French culture.

There is a bright drawing-room, off the hallway, welcoming and comforting. The sofa converts to a double bed for an extra two guests. Noticeable is a wide collections of DVDs and paperback thrillers. A part form Wifi the flat also provides a printer.

The master bedroom is comfortable and has two spacious wardrobes. The double doors open to the south facing back patio and garden. A few quirky antiques to excite your curiosity: a writing desk with a folding top and a chest of draws called “met” in French with two first fake draws so the opening is from the flat top.

Both drawing-room and bedroom have double doors and an independent access to the bathroom, kitchen and garden.

There is modern tiled bathroom with a large shower for two and the fully equipped kitchen at the end, also has double doors which access to the garden.

This flat has been newly refurbished new bathroom (wet room) new kitchen, freshly painted walls and an exquisite French décor. There are two antique walnut (19 century) book-shelves in the drawing-room and two antique (19 century) walnut wood bedside tables in the bedroom sporting a rare “Verde Serpentine” marble top, a brass chandelier and two (19 century) recently upholstered ‘Crapaud’ armchairs in a bright red velvet.

Chelsea Wharf with its ten-acre park and access to the river is less than five minutes’ walk away: closer is the world-renowned 606 Jazz Club. Sports fans can enjoy the spectacle at Chelsea Football Ground, while bargain-hunters can wander round the auction house (literally at the end of the road) and the antique-shops that have sprung-up around it.
